Between the Lines
We all have a central motivation. A value system. A world view. A core that drives our actions. I am no different.
I write songs because I love to – and because I have to. I write songs because I love music. But I am also a man of faith and it would be dishonest if that did not creep into my music. My songs are extension of my soul – who I am. My faith is bound to me, I live it, breathe it and bleed it. And so I sing it.
My goal is not to push you in a direction, but to call you to ask the right questions – the questions that mean something. And to throw out some of the answers I have found.
My wish is to share the beautiful Truth I have discovered thus far, and to let you know where I am still looking.
I want to be a wrestler, not a fake-smile dispenser. Sometimes, beautiful truth has an ugly face. I hope that creeps into my songs as well.
Art has a magical way of multiplying its’ meaning the larger its’ audience – and that is my greatest hope for my songs. That they say something special, and something new, to each person who hears. And in that way, they become alive, and give life.
I wish for nothing more, and nothing less.
